Gift Shoes

Categories: My Prince, Fashion, shoes

A gift from the Prince. I’m spoiled. The white ones are so cute! And those red ones: WOW! I really don’t know when (or where!) I’ll be able to wear these babies. LOL!

So What?

So, as I twittered while I was lounging lazily in bed, I went to a bar for the first time last night. It isn’t something that’s been high on my list. I prefer a nice, quiet glass of wine at home. It was fun, though. I went out with my Prince and two of his friends to see the Fast and Furious movie. After that, we went to a bar/casino/bowling lanes and laughed at the people singing karaoke. We all goaded each other to go up and sing, but none of us did. It was painful to hear that wasted woman brutalize So What. I love that song, and she killed it! Ugh. Maybe I wouldn’t have minded if I was drunk.

Hey, it’s Saturday!!

I don’t usually blog on Saturdays. Most Saturdays, I try to stay off the computer. Today, however, is a little different. I’m expecting a call from My Prince to confirm that he and his friends can come by to pick me up and have a movie day and whatnot. So, I decided to hop on the computer this morning while I have the chance.

Imah will be leaving the house soon, giving me just enough time to watch 28 Weeks Later (she hates horror, so I can’t watch it when she’s around) before Prince picks me up. If he doesn’t, oh well; I have the house to myself for a few hours. I’m skipping this week’s group bike ride–for reasons I don’t care to explain. Besides, if I do go with my Prince, I won’t have the time to ride. Of course, I’m going to encourage the others to go w/o me. Just because I started it doesn’t mean I have to be present every single time. Besides, Gabe’s a much better leader than I. It’s more like I’m just the founder; he’s the president.

Anywho…on to this cool meme I discovered a few minutes ago!

Saturday 9: Almost Famous

1. Have you ever been told that you look like some famous? Back when my hair was really short, people said I looked like Halle Berry (in her Die Another Day days).

2. Name a celebrity that shares your birthday. Heh, I really don’t like sharing my birthdate.

3. Tell us about your first kiss. Sure! Before my school days, I would kiss or threaten to kiss boys to get them to what I wanted. Wait, that doesn’t sound right. Ok, so I’d threaten to kiss them ("do this or I’ll kiss you!) because little boys HATE kissing and would almost anything to avoid it. Some of them didn’t believe me or really didn’t want to comply with my demands, so I had to make good. Yeah, I was a brat–a really BOSSY brat. LOL!

4. When you meet someone attractive, what do you notice first? Eyes, smile, hair.

5. What was your biggest mistake ever? Let’s just say it was really embarrassing and I’ll never tell.

6. Give us one random, but candid fact about you. I’m left-handed–and proud of it!

7. What about your current or most recent lover excites you? His brain. He’s a genius!

8. What really annoys you? Imah’s nagging. I’d rather endure nails across a chalkboard!

9. How many other Saturday 9’ers answers do you usually read? Hm, that’s a good question! I don’t know yet!

That’s all for now! I’m going to check out my twitter updates now. I’m really addicted, especially to Mashable and TechCrunch and the like. Social networking sites are fascinating!

I Want Wednesday

I Want… Wednesdays #34:

What do you want this week? Share it all.

I want to see my Prince again and more often. I want nothing out of life except him and writing. I would love to be able to breeze through life just writing.

For this week in particular, I want to purge the house and workshed of old items I’ve been holding on to. Sentimental, unnecessary clutter. I’m a pack rat, a magpie.

I realize that I’m going to have to go through some huge changes to get to the future I want. It’s time to shed the shackles and let go. Time to step forward. I can’t carry around a lot of baggage (physical or not).

So, on to the workshed!

  2. William :: …Tell
  3. Oh! :: …joy! (One of my common sarcastic phrases.)
  4. Board game :: I don’t do board games. Can I interest you in a game of Curses?
  5. Sunlight :: Don’t like it. (And stop calling me a vampire! *wink*)
  6. Delay :: Is it just me or does anyone else catch themselves fretting impatiently over something in the microwave for a mere 30 seconds and then feel totally idiotic about it?
  7. Winner :: All’s fair in love and war.
  8. Concubine :: the movie Mulan. LOL! UGLY concubines.
  9. Comatose :: A state I’ve been wishing for the past week. At least then I’d get some rest.
  10. Satisfy :: Oh yes, I am satisfied. VERY much so.

I’m not going to get into how crazy my week was; how I again realized how passionately I loathe my job; how little money is my bank account. No. Because, today at least, none of that matters.

Today, the Prince of Arrakis was all mine. After too many months, he has returned to me. All my silly fears and doubts washed away. He is mine and I am his. And we have our whole lives ahead of us.

Life. What a journey.

Sunday Stealing: The Q & A Meme

1. where is your significant other? That’s classified information.

2. your favorite thing? My imagination. I can take it everywhere and do anything with it. Although, it can also be my worst enemy at times.

3. your dream last night? I didn’t dream. I barely even slept.

4. your goal? Get a driver license at last.

5. your hobby?  Writing.

6. where do you want to be in 6 years? Married, working an at-home job if I’m working at all. Writing novels.

7. where were you last night? Throwing up on my bedroom floor.

8. what you’re not? I don’t get why people naturally assume I’m nice. It must be my big brown puppy eyes and irresistible smile. Or maybe because, until I get to know people, I’m quiet. Quiet does not equal good/nice, peoples! You know what they say about the quiet ones!! Not that I’m trying to implicate myself as a psycho or anything. *ahem*

9. one of your wish list items? Just one? *sigh* How about this? I wanted some casual heels.

10. your pet? Hadassah, my pink, flying unicorn.

11. missing someone? My Prince. And Teddy Bear; I don’t have anyone to beat up on when I’m frustrated at work now. LOL!

12. your car? The Blood Red Van. I call it Jasper (as in Cullen).

13. something you’re not wearing? Whoa…what?

14. love someone? Yes…

15. when is the last time you laughed? A short time ago. I was teasing Samson for reading the Twilight series.

16. last time you cried? When I woke up. I was still feeling crappy and I thought my plans for the movie day were ruined!

17. favorite past time? Surfing the web.

18. are you a hater or a lover? Depends on how we get along and if you mess with my peeps.

19. any vices? Well, I’m certainly not going to voice them to the world!! How about this? I’m spoiled rotten and I have an ego that’s more inflated than a hot air balloon.

20. favorite meme other than Sunday Stealing? Unconscious Mutterings; it’s really the only one I play with any regularity.

So, I went to see Push with My Evil Twin, her brother Country Knight, Bullfrog, Samson and Teddy Bear. The graphics were cool. The screaming Bleeder guys made us cringe and cry for help. It left us a bit disappointed, but it wasn’t bad.  It was a pretty cool movie. It’s just that a lot more could have been done with it.

And stop shaking the bloody camera!! I hate that!!!

Anyway, yes, I passed my written driving test on Thursday and got my permit. Since I spent last night purging and determined to go on with my movie night today, I decided again the driving lessons Samson and I had planned.

My Prince and I still haven’t gotten to see each other. When I’m off, he’s working and when he’s off, I’m working. It colossally sucks. I invited him to hang out with us for the movie night, but he doesn’t want to be around a bunch of rowdy young people. He just wants some peace and quiet. Imah’s fine with that because the house isn’t presentable enough for guests just yet. Hopefully by next weekend, though… <3!

A Touch of Drama

Unconscious Mutterings 312:

  1. Arrival :: My Prince…less than a month til his return!!!
  2. Vomit :: I never understood how people my age can think it’s fun to drink themselves so drunk they vomit. I’m weird like that, I guess.
  3. Fit :: workout
  4. Stutter :: embarrassment, blush
  5. Lifestream :: First thing that comes to mind is something akin to Ghost Whisperer. It just sounds paranormal to me.
  6. Tread :: Thank goodness for snow tires!
  7. Desire :: vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce and toffee chunk. *drool* (Yes, though I am female, the way to my heart is food.)
  8. Freezing :: What the house feels like when the fireplace goes out.
  9. Permit :: driver’s permit. *sigh* I’m going to learn to drive…eventually.
  10. Crinkle :: It’s cute when people crinkle their nose.

Well, I haven’t much to say. Er, maybe I do, but I’m feeling too crappy to write it all. I want to rip out my throat and it feels like an elephant is sitting on my head. Does the gargling salt water, keeping myself extra hydrated and downing all the pain killers I can safely take help? Not really.

My shift for next week is radically changed. Instead of starting at 2 in the afternoon, I get to come in at 8 in the morning. 8 in the freaking morning!!! I’m not even awake at that time!! EVER! And they expect me to be AT work mentally prepared to explain people’s bills?! Oh vey.

Also, I actually had a touch of drama in my life. I won’t go into it. After all, thanks to this sorry sinus infection I have (or whatever it is that’s wrong with me), I managed to avoid the situation altogether.

This is why I am the best kind of control freak. Yes, that’s right. I’m a control freak. I’m just the kind that internalized my need for control instead of forcing it on others. Yeah, ok, sometimes I live in my own little world. Sometimes, it causes me to withdraw. I still think that’s better than taking over someone else’s party and saying: "only this person, this person and that person can come" (after the original planner already invited other people). I mean, seriously?

I’m not taking it personally, though. Control freaks are control freaks. I can understand. And, anyway, my friends ended up begging me to come anyway. I would have if I hadn’t gotten sick. Oh well.

There see? And I said I wasn’t going to get into it. Oh, I had to rant a little. Let’s blame it on my fever. *wink*

Off and On

Unconscious Mutterings 311:

  1. Resolution :: New Year’s. I never make any. My resolutions are weekly.
  2. Break :: I need one…another one.
  3. Tied :: My Prince and I are tied together on many levels. <3
  4. Suffering :: Pain and suffering.
  5. Instead :: I could…but instead I choose not to.
  6. Slash :: I actually knew a dog named that. He was such a sweetheart!
  7. Divorce :: Not pretty.
  8. Cough :: cough drops.
  9. Happy :: Happy go lucky!
  10. Sniffle :: What I often do in cold weather. Grr.
Took another weekend to be alone. Planning on getting together with friends next weekend, though. This week was insanely stressful. The company bigwigs keep placing these ridiculous restraints on us CSRs, inhibiting our ability to help the customer. And were lots of angry customers this week. Friday, especially, I’d like to erase from my memory.

I’m hoping this week won’t be so bad. For one thing, I’m getting taken off the phones every other week for a while. I’m really hoping it starts this week. I’ve just about had it with this company. I don’t know how they stay in business.

On a more positive note, the snow has finally melted completely away! And it raining! We even had a rain storm recently. My coworkers looked askance at me when I kept coming back from my breaks all wet and I’d explain enthusiastically that I’d been running around in the rain. What can I say? I hate snow. I LOVE rain!

My Systers of the Grand Cauldron of Mischief did make their yearly snowslide. Apparently, it got up to 10 feet high this time!! At one part, it’s higher than their roof. Yeah, um, I’ll pass again on trying their slide. Maybe next year… *ahem*

Unconscious Mutterings 310

Unconscious Mutterings 310:

  1. Confirmation :: number
  2. Verse :: music
  3. Authorize :: Oo, that word just exudes power! Muahaha!
  4. Blog :: Super duper fun! (Wow. I haven’t said “super duper” in forever. LOL!)
  5. Thirty :: 13 going on 30. I love that movie!!
  6. Heir :: …to the throne
  7. What are you doing? :: Twitter!!
  8. Complaint :: Call 1-800-WHO-CARES
  9. Leave :: What I often feel like doing at work. *frustrated sigh*
  10. Tune :: piano.
Not much to say today. I think I’ve been too social the past month. Not being naturally sociable, I think it’s only added to the stress I have from work and my current financial state. So, I stayed home this weekend to relax. I won’t be socializing for the next few weeks or so. I’m going to be working some overtime. I could use the extra $$$ right now.

At least I got some much needed updating done on my novel! Almost at 10,000 words.

Oh, and… ONLY 1 MONTH TIL MY PRINCE COMES BACK!!!!!!!

I’m beat. I’m seriously considering going to bed now.

Despite the rumors, I did not La Push Jacob off a cliff.

…not that it would have hurt him anyway.

I love how Twilight has people in a frenzy. One of friends, Her Majesty, wants to "La Push Jacob off a cliff" because he’s a jerk. Another friend, VeggE, is all about Jacob and now wears an "Edward who?" button. My Evil Twin likes both Jacob and Edward. Me? I’m planning to take out Blondie and keep Emmett as my slave. Together, Emm and I will plague the world with our pranks! Muahahahaha!

Anyway, I went with VeggE, My Evil Twin and a couple other friends of theirs to visit Forks on Saturday. We got to see "the Swan home," "the Cullens’ residence," Bella’s truck, etc. We browsed the fan stores and even ate at the restaurant where "Bella and Edward had their first date." Mm.

While the others bought their fan stuff, I purchased pink sunglasses and a giant lollipop–oh, and My Evil Twin bought me a giant poster of Audrey Hepburn w/ a pink background and a kitty because I was gushing over it (I did more than gush but I’m not going to embarrass myself any further with details).

My Twilight fervor seems to be over. Maybe my own personal frenzy of trying to distract myself from my Prince’s absence. The fact that I still have 2 months till his return is driving me up the wall. Twilight is over. There isn’t anything new about it to me now. Nothing to hold my interest. I must find something else.

Wow. Um. Anyway…we also visited First Beach "where Jacob spilled the beans about vampires and werewolves to Bella." We didn’t stay long, though. We hopped over to Rialto Beach–it’s much better there. We girls got soaked teasing the tide, running from the waves. I remember doing that as a kid. I don’t think I’ll ever outgrow it. The excitement of seeing a wave pass beneath you as you stand on a pile of fallen trees. Wahoo! That was awesome!

Now, who’s up for some Transporter 3!!!
