So What?

So, as I twittered while I was lounging lazily in bed, I went to a bar for the first time last night. It isn’t something that’s been high on my list. I prefer a nice, quiet glass of wine at home. It was fun, though. I went out with my Prince and two of his friends to see the Fast and Furious movie. After that, we went to a bar/casino/bowling lanes and laughed at the people singing karaoke. We all goaded each other to go up and sing, but none of us did. It was painful to hear that wasted woman brutalize So What. I love that song, and she killed it! Ugh. Maybe I wouldn’t have minded if I was drunk.

Terminated

Categories: My life, Work, Financial

Yes, it’s true. I’ve lost my job. I and about 100 other people (give or take) were let go on Friday. My pride is a bit bruised and sure I’m worried about my finances, but I’m young and resilient. Besides, I’d never been so stressed by a job before that one. And it didn’t help that company cared more about it’s stats than the customers. For God’s sake!

So, yeah, I actually feel like I’ve been set free. I’m sure the depression will set in later. It’s just nice to breath again. I’m all for rules and regulations–it was that TOGETHER with having every other customer curse me up one side and down the other. Even when they’d pause to assure me it wasn’t ME but THE COMPANY.

Anyway, all that to say that I’m going cut back my social activities and whatnot to focus on getting another job and just saving up money.

One last note. My Prince is going away again for about a month. No, I’m not going with him…but we’re making plans. It’s going to be rough for me simply because Imah’s being more overbearing than usual because by my losing my job, she’s lost her 2nd income. So, she’s freaking out about it. And I won’t have my Prince around to calm me down and keep me from fighting with her. *sigh*

I’m going to job hunt now. And, no, I’m NOT (despite her demands) going to text her about every job I apply for. Jeepers! Control freak.

Unconscious Mutterings 310

Unconscious Mutterings 310:

  1. Confirmation :: number
  2. Verse :: music
  3. Authorize :: Oo, that word just exudes power! Muahaha!
  4. Blog :: Super duper fun! (Wow. I haven’t said “super duper” in forever. LOL!)
  5. Thirty :: 13 going on 30. I love that movie!!
  6. Heir :: …to the throne
  7. What are you doing? :: Twitter!!
  8. Complaint :: Call 1-800-WHO-CARES
  9. Leave :: What I often feel like doing at work. *frustrated sigh*
  10. Tune :: piano.
Not much to say today. I think I’ve been too social the past month. Not being naturally sociable, I think it’s only added to the stress I have from work and my current financial state. So, I stayed home this weekend to relax. I won’t be socializing for the next few weeks or so. I’m going to be working some overtime. I could use the extra $$$ right now.

At least I got some much needed updating done on my novel! Almost at 10,000 words.

Oh, and… ONLY 1 MONTH TIL MY PRINCE COMES BACK!!!!!!!

I’m beat. I’m seriously considering going to bed now.

Unconscious Mutterings 301

Unconscious Mutterings, week 301:

  1. In love :: head over heels
  2. Be my guest :: a singing candelabra
  3. Number one :: what one calls him/herself to inflate his/her ego
  4. Swallowed whole :: goldfish (I find this act disgusting…unless it’s done with the crackers. Mmm. Those are yummy!)
  5. 50 percent :: No! It’s all or nothing!
  6. Made in :: …China. I’m actually not seeing this as much as I used to.
  7. Supplement :: vitamins.
  8. Right for :: …me. (A description of my Prince.)
  9. Endless :: Eh, there’s got to be a light at the tunnel. Right?
  10. Ceramic :: sculptures. I prefer tigers. :-D
Wow. I’m pretty much settled in my new place now. I’m just so stressed from everything right now. My job makes me feel like I’m trapped in a mud pit. I try to climb out but the sticky walls pull me back. So, I’m looking for another job; sticking with this one for now. Bills have to be paid.

My Prince is leaving for duty soon. I actually got to see him one more time, which was nice. I’d already cried out all my tears the last time because we both thought it was our last chance to see each other for the next few months. It’s going to be hard, though. These few weeks I haven’t seen him, he still texted me a couple times a week. Once he’s gone, that’s it. No communication.

I’m not even going to get into how Imah is stressing me. Let’s just say I’m more eager to get a car of my own, and I’m not feeling so guilty about moving away from her.

Anyway, I’m trying to save up for these future expenses and pay off the debt the move put me in. Ah, the delights of working overtime.

Week of June1: Fill in the blanks…..

1. My best friend is My Prince…my best female friend is My Evil Twin.
2. I love it when My Prince cooks for us.
3. My favorite movie is The Longest Day because it’s inspiring and has plenty of action!
4. I can’t stand it when I don’t hold up to my own standards.
5. If I could have any job in the world it would be a published author–or a biologist of some sort.
6. Most weekends I spend with my Prince or my Systers of the Grand Cauldron of Mischief.
7. My Prince’s home-made meals taste so good!
8. Why does life suck sometimes?
9. I have lots of reference books around the house.
10. Blogging satisfies my need for writing, fun and possibly even attention!

I had my first lovers’ quarrel last night/this morning.  I have left one corrupt employer only to find that there is some corruption going on in my other job as well. My job hunting is thus far fruitless. We may have to move because our rent is going up and (with my current job) I can’t afford it. Those are just MY problems. I’m not going to broadcast the problems my Prince is going through. Oh, and I won’t be able to see him for another two weeks. Yeah, life sucks right now.

My co-workers from my current job keep asking me "What’s wrong? You don’t seem like yourself." I’m not close enough to reveal anything personal. And I certainly can’t tell them that I’m worried about my financial situation and I HATE MY JOB!!! *sigh*

That’s life.

week of Oct21: Scary Stuff

Since Halloween is drawing near, lets blog about scary stuff….

1. What’s your favorite scary movie? Scary book? Movie: Hangman’s Curse. Book: probably The Oath.

2. Who is scarier, Freddy Kruger(nightmare on elm street), Jason(friday the 13th) or Michael Myers(halloween)? I don’t know; I’ve never watched any of them.

3. Do you believe in wherewolves, vampires and or zombies? Of course! I’m a half-breed of the first two. (Don’t ask how that happened.)

4. Are you superstitious? Why or why not? Why, no! It’s bad luck to be superstitious. ;)

5. Are you afraid of the dark? I love the dark. (I prefer half-light, though, so I do still sleep with a small light on.)

6. Who is your favorite movie monster? I’d say Mystique, but the mutants don’t like being called monsters. Twilight hasn’t been made into a yet–neither has The Golden Compass. I know! Wookiee from Star Wars! (I still want a Wookiee…)

Master of Finances, forgive me! I got a bit spending-happy with my cell phone. 2 new ringtones (Beethoven’s 5th Symphony and Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield) and two games (one’s a brain teaser, the other’s a card game). At least the games were super cheap. I probably didn’t even spend more than $10 for all 4 items, but I’m not supposed to be spending at all. That is the ultimate price for my new boots, sunglasses, and coat.

*Knocks myself on the head* He-llo? See the title of your blog? You’re not a princess anymore! You’re in exile!! *shrug* She never listens to me.

Pardon the schizophrenia there. Have a great week, everyone! (Or should I say: shavuah tov!)
