So, as I twittered while I was lounging lazily in bed, I went to a bar for the first time last night. It isn’t something that’s been high on my list. I prefer a nice, quiet glass of wine at home. It was fun, though. I went out with my Prince and two of his friends to see the Fast and Furious movie. After that, we went to a bar/casino/bowling lanes and laughed at the people singing karaoke. We all goaded each other to go up and sing, but none of us did. It was painful to hear that wasted woman brutalize So What. I love that song, and she killed it! Ugh. Maybe I wouldn’t have minded if I was drunk.
1. My uncle once : almost came to live with us.
2. Never in my life : have I admired and loved such a man as the Prince.
3. When I was seventeen : I was annoyed and freaking out about turning 18 next.
4. High School was : Exactly what I wanted– all mine.
5. I will never forget : My first contact w/ my Prince.
6. I once met : Hm, I’ve met a lot of interesting people from different places/countries. My Prince is the most interesting.
7. There’s this girl I know who : is called Death–for good reason. LOL! I love my psychotic friends.
8. Once, at a bar : Exactly. ONCE at a bar. This was my first time.
9. By noon, I’m usually : Bored. I’m getting to like getting up early. By noon, everything’s done. 
10. Last night : I went to a bar for the first time. And I got to see my Prince again! *happy*
11. If only I had : more time. Oh, more money wouldn’t hurt either. LOL!
12. Next time I go to gym/church : I get to teach dance. I’m bugging my Prince to make sure he comes!

14. What worries me most : right now, is my finances.
15. When I turn my head left, I see : my cellphone and my blueberry muffin. Mm, my favorite muffin!

17. You know I’m lying when : I look innocent. I do that face extremely well–too well. It’s a dead giveaway.
18. What I miss most about the eighties : Um…being born. LOL!

20. By this time next year : I’m hoping for a drastic change.
21. A better name for me would be : My names are perfect for me. Perhaps "Devie" fits me best.
22. I have a hard time understanding : some things at first. I can usually come to understand most things, though.
23. If I ever go back to school, I’ll : die! Just kidding. It will not be a social event for me, though.

25. If I ever won an award, the first person I’d thank would be : HaShem…and then my Prince most likely. He’s my greatest supporter.

27. Take my advice, never : ACT stupid unless you’re willing to LOOK stupid. LOL! Good times!
28. My ideal breakfast is : Scrambled eggs made by my Prince. He’s the best cook ever!

30. If you visit my hometown, I suggest : Bringing a straitjacket–just to fit in.

32. Why won’t people : Mind their own business and stop trying to control others.
33. If you spend the night at my house : be prepared to get pranked!
34. I’d stop my wedding for : Nothing!!!
35. The world could do without : TV. Really. Computers replace EVERYTHING.
36. I’d rather lick the belly of a cockroach than : lose my Prince.
37. My favorite blonde is : I don’t know. I’m not fond of blonde.
38: Paper clips are more useful than : um, silly putty? No, silly putty’s still more useful. *chuckle*
39. If I do anything well, it’s : writing!
40. And by the way : I’m playing around with different blogs right now. Trying to decide what’s better…if I should move to blogspot or wordpress.

I don’t usually blog on Saturdays. Most Saturdays, I try to stay off the computer. Today, however, is a little different. I’m expecting a call from My Prince to confirm that he and his friends can come by to pick me up and have a movie day and whatnot. So, I decided to hop on the computer this morning while I have the chance.
Imah will be leaving the house soon, giving me just enough time to watch 28 Weeks Later (she hates horror, so I can’t watch it when she’s around) before Prince picks me up. If he doesn’t, oh well; I have the house to myself for a few hours. I’m skipping this week’s group bike ride–for reasons I don’t care to explain. Besides, if I do go with my Prince, I won’t have the time to ride. Of course, I’m going to encourage the others to go w/o me. Just because I started it doesn’t mean I have to be present every single time. Besides, Gabe’s a much better leader than I. It’s more like I’m just the founder; he’s the president.
Anywho…on to this cool meme I discovered a few minutes ago!
1. Have you ever been told that you look like some famous? Back when my hair was really short, people said I looked like Halle Berry (in her Die Another Day days).
2. Name a celebrity that shares your birthday. Heh, I really don’t like sharing my birthdate.
3. Tell us about your first kiss. Sure! Before my school days, I would kiss or threaten to kiss boys to get them to what I wanted. Wait, that doesn’t sound right. Ok, so I’d threaten to kiss them ("do this or I’ll kiss you!) because little boys HATE kissing and would almost anything to avoid it. Some of them didn’t believe me or really didn’t want to comply with my demands, so I had to make good. Yeah, I was a brat–a really BOSSY brat. LOL!
4. When you meet someone attractive, what do you notice first? Eyes, smile, hair.
5. What was your biggest mistake ever? Let’s just say it was really embarrassing and I’ll never tell.
6. Give us one random, but candid fact about you. I’m left-handed–and proud of it!
7. What about your current or most recent lover excites you? His brain. He’s a genius!
8. What really annoys you? Imah’s nagging. I’d rather endure nails across a chalkboard!
9. How many other Saturday 9’ers answers do you usually read? Hm, that’s a good question! I don’t know yet!

What do you want this week? Share it all.
I want to see my Prince again and more often. I want nothing out of life except him and writing. I would love to be able to breeze through life just writing.
For this week in particular, I want to purge the house and workshed of old items I’ve been holding on to. Sentimental, unnecessary clutter. I’m a pack rat, a magpie.
I realize that I’m going to have to go through some huge changes to get to the future I want. It’s time to shed the shackles and let go. Time to step forward. I can’t carry around a lot of baggage (physical or not).
So, on to the workshed!

Almost got a job, but it didn’t work out. I can’t say I’m disappointed, though. It was the type of job I’m terrible at. So, back to the joys of job searching.
Oh, for those concerned: I just got the Firefly Series (including the 3 episodes never aired) for $20 on Amazon.com. A deal like that is more stimulating than coffee!!! Just thought I’d share.

Just came back from an hour long bike ride. First time I’ve actually gotten up the nerve to leave my street–by myself anyway. It’s strange how I still have an aversion to going out in populated areas by myself. With friends, I’m fine–as long as I mentally block out the strangers around me.
I’ve been like that since before I could talk. Otherwise, I’d blame it on Imah’s grounding into me to be suspicious of people–or maybe my total lack of any sense of direction. But no, it couldn’t be either of those. I’m just weird. And, hey, it doesn’t inhibit my being social online at all. My true sense of humor and effervescence comes out online whereas I often come across as shy to people I first meet. Yay for the internet!! I am free!!
Yay for coffee, too! LOL! I’m going to get some driving practice here soon. Farewell for now!

1. The last flight of stairs you walked up/down - were the carpeted? Yes. I don’t have stairs at my place (unless you count the few to get to my front door) but the friends I’m staying with do!
2. Green or purple grapes? Green all the way. *drool*
3. Do you like Peeps? I abhor them. Ever since that first (and last) easter egg hunt I went on when I was little. I was spending the holiday with my older (and indulgent) sister. Taking advantage of Imah not being around, I gorged myself with peeps. That night I dreamt of giant peeps and giant slugs in giant (spider-) webs about to eat me. Haven’t touched a peep since. They still make me shudder.
4. The smell of Vicks - like it? No, but it’s bearable.
5. Do you put decorative cling-ons on your windows for different holidays? No, but I remember Imah doing that when I was younger.
6. Finish the sentence - I spent too much money on ________ . [electronics] Muahahaha!
7. Which celebrity should be flown into outer space or placed on a desert island? I don’t know. I don’t really keep up with them.
8. Would you support schools changing the "open" time? Such as 10am - 5pm, for example? I like kids to remain in school for as long as possible because I find them annoying and want them out of my hair. Wow–I’m not even a mom.
9. Do you go fishing? No. I really don’t think I’d have the patience for it.
10. What question should we ask next week? How about: What inspires you?
Well, that was fun! I have nothing new to report except that I should be going home later today. Oh, and Imah put in her resignation yesterday. So, yeah, now we’re going to be stuck together ALL day. That is NOT going to be pretty. My only hope is to keep super busy, stay out of her hair as much as possible and get in a LOT of driving practice.

Fear not! I am alive! I did not throw myself from the top of a building. My Prince and I are both going through a tough time and are urging each other to stay strong. It’s amazing how encouraging some one else helps my own spirit. Maybe it’s just because I’m focusing on someone else instead of myself and my own problems.
Anyway, I’ve been spending some time away from home and Imah–staying with my dance friends since mid-Friday. It’s been a nice vacation. I’ll need it. Things are probably only going to get worse.

I’m not going to get into how crazy my week was; how I again realized how passionately I loathe my job; how little money is my bank account. No. Because, today at least, none of that matters.
Today, the Prince of Arrakis was all mine. After too many months, he has returned to me. All my silly fears and doubts washed away. He is mine and I am his. And we have our whole lives ahead of us.
Life. What a journey.
