I’m too sexy for an umbrella

Unconscious Mutterings week 292:

  1. Groceries :: tasty foods
  2. Deodorant :: I like Secret’s one-liner: Because You’re Hot. Very cute/clever.
  3. Psychic :: I love supernatural stuff. It’s fascinating.
  4. Cherries ::*giggle*
  5. Spooky :: someone knowing your thoughts. Well, maybe that’s creepy. Spooky is more like a haunted house.
  6. Yogurt :: black cherry flavor is my favorite
  7. Kitchen :: a dangerous place
  8. Nothing personal :: …I just don’t like you.
  9. Be nice :: Why are people always telling me that?
  10. Delivery :: Still waiting on my Twilight Saga on audiobook. *sigh*
Well, I got to see my Prince this weekend! We walked all over town yesterday, getting ourselves drenched to the skin in the downpour. It was so fun! We shivered in the theaters as we watched Traitor and then Babylon AD. The first movie wasn’t bad; the latter was AWFUL!!! Ugh. Do yourself and DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY on that horrible movie. If you’re a big Vin Diesel fan, wait til it comes out on dvd or something.*shudder*

Anyway, after that, we were still kind of wet, so I insisted on stopping at a nearby restaurant for some piping hot coffee and a warm meal. We both felt better, but at that point it was getting dark. We made calls to our friends but no one was available to hang out with–no one who could pick us up, that is. So we sauntered home to change into totally DRY clothes and relax for the rest of the evening. He had to get back to the base today, though, because he has a couple of reports that have to be done by Tuesday. At least I got to see him. Those weeks without him were torture.

Anywhoo…I’ve got things to do! Have a good Labor Day!

What my bed says about me

Categories: Q & Q

What Your Bed Says About You

Outward appearances are a concern of yours, but not your primary concern. You try to take care of yourself and your home, but it’s not an obsession.

You try to be an organized person, but you often fall behind. Certain parts of your life tend to fall into chaos.

You are very high maintenance. You like everything a certain way, and you’re grumpy if things aren’t the way you like them.

In relationships, you tend to be quite dominant. You enjoy taking charge.

You tend to be a down to earth, practical person. You think in terms of what is actual.

You are a total homebody. You are happiest when you’re at home.

What Does Your Bed Say About You?

Ok. I have a beef with this. Paragraphs 2, 3 and 6 couldn’t be more right, but paragraph 4…my Prince and I have the perfect relationship. We are both independent and treat each other as equals. Paragraph 5: I’m not very practical. Not at all. My mind is constantly drifting off to a land of vivid greens, blues, yellows and pinks where everyone dances and sings perfectly–all the time. *happy sigh*

Sometimes, I think being unconscious is preferable

Unconscious Mutterings, week 291:

  1. Cry :: stress or heartbreak
  2. Stretch :: I love stretching. It feels good and it makes me feel good.
  3. Efficient :: This word makes me feel good, too.
  4. Brunch :: Food!!!
  5. Afro :: Cute style when used carefully. Not for everyone.
  6. Preheat :: oven–for cookies!!
  7. Delicious :: ok, is it just me or are you trying to make me hungry?
  8. Global warming :: Time to crank out the tanning lotion!
  9. Actions :: …speak louder than words.
  10. Ride :: Can I walk instead?
That’s all for now. I’m very busy doing laundry and cleaning the house. Imah’s doing very poorly. She went to the doctor and got a prescription, but I don’t think it will help much if she continues stressing the way she is.

I’m beginning to stress myself. I can barely eat lately. Of course, when I don’t eat, I can’t concentrate and my emotions go haywire. Not to mention, I’m missing my Prince to death. That alone is driving me crazy. I want to DO something crazy. Otherwise, I’ll GO crazy. *sigh* At this point, I don’t know what I’d do without my Systers of the Grand Cauldron of Mischief.

Btw, a big bunch of thanks to My Evil Twin for inviting me over to spend the day with her extended family! It was awesome!! And thanks to her and her BIG brother for hanging out with me extra long time yesterday. That includes taking me over to Walmart so I could buy a clock/radio/cd/mp3 player that I’ve been craving for a week!

Oh yeah, I’m pausing my progress with Dune so I can read Breaking Dawn at the same time as My Evil Twin. She’ll probably beat me to the end, though.

quiz time

Categories: Random

I am bored. And SOOOO ready for Friday. So here are some quizzes. I think I should I should be commenting more often on the quizzes I post.

You Are Ballet

You are quite introverted. You enjoy keeping to yourself and cultivating your talents.

You are dedicated and focused. If practice makes perfect, you’re willing to keep practicing.

While some people may dismiss you as boring, you can be quite edgy and interesting.

You can fit in almost anywhere… and your style ranges from conservative to funky.

What Dance Are You?

I agree. I will practice/study something I am passionate about until I have it down perfectly. Being somewhat of a perfectionist, I am never satisfied.
As I enjoy researching and studying (the things I love), I am at times rather boring. I suppose I COULD fit in anywhere if I tried. I just don’t try. The desire to fit in is not part of my personality. Every once in a while I get the urge to fit in. Then I come to my senses and ask myself “What was I thinking?!”
But, yeah, my style does have a broad range.

You Live in the Present

You take things one day at a time.

And it turns out, that’s a pretty great way to live.

You aren’t consumed by the past, and you’re aren’t obsessed with the future.

You live in the now, and you enjoy each moment.

While most people don’t live in the present enough, make sure you don’t live in it too much.

It would be a mistake to forget your past or neglect to plan for the future.

Do You Live in the Past, Present, or Future?

I don’t have anything to add. I just have to learn from the mistakes of my past and to prepare for what may come in the future.

You Are a Yellow Crayon

Your world is colored with happy, warm, fun colors.

You have a thoughtful and wise way about you. Some people might even consider you a genius.

Charming and eloquent, you are able to get people to do things your way.

While you seem spontaneous and free wheeling, you are calculating to the extreme.

Your color wheel opposite is purple. You both are charismatic leaders, but purple people act like you have no depth.

What Color Crayon Are You?

While I am a cheerful person by nature, I am also prone to bouts of depression–especially at certain times of the month if you know what I mean. I’m not very good at using my charm; it just comes out when I’m in a good mood. I don’t think I’m eloquent at all. As for being wise and thoughtful, that just ties in with my being calculating. My mother calls it being devious. I seem shallow only because I usually hide my depth.

Your Beauty Element is Earth

You are the epitome of a natural beauty. Your look is definitely effortless.

And while you shy away from a lot of make-up and accessories, you’re no granola girl either!

What’s Your Beauty Element?

Why thank you! Yeah, I’m a big believer in natural beauty. Don’t care for make-up.

Your Power Element is Metal

Your power colors: white, gold, and silver

Your energy: contracting

Your season: fall

You are persistent (and maybe even a little bit stubborn).

If you see something you want, you go for it.

You have a lot of strength, and it’s difficult to get you down.

Very logical, you tend to analyze everything going on in your life.

What’s Your Power Element?

I love white and gold! Contracting…as in introverted? Yeah. And fall is my favorite season! Persistent, stubborn? I prefer the term tenacious. Though I don’t consider myself all that logical, I have been told I think too much.

You Are Cheesecake

Rich, sweet, and simply perfect.

You’re not boring - you’re just the best!

What Dessert Are You Most Like?

*applause!*

week of august 17: pet peeves
we all have things that annoy us, so this week vent them!
what really annoys you, makes you wanna rip your hair out and scream?!
name your top 3 pet peeves:
1. Reckless driving (whether too fast or too slow)
2. TV commercials
3. People imposing their opinions and beliefs on others.

I am so groggy. I stayed up with my Systers of the Grand Cauldron of Mischief watching movies til 4 this morning. Then, I wake up and it’s 4 in the afternoon! I was shocked. I’ve never slept in that late–no matter how late I stayed up the night before. Ugh. So much of my day gone! Oh well. I had fun w/ my girls this weekend.

Insanity follows me like a shadow puppy dog

Categories: Random

My job is driving me crazy.

Why can’t I be like some people and just schmooze people out of their problems?

If
it weren’t for the crazy people I have on my “team” I don’t know what
I’d do. They’re really funny and just weird enough that I fit in pretty
well. My first day, it was the purple-haired, overly-pierced dwarf-girl
and the flamboyant gay guy that made me feel most welcome.

Laughing 19
LOL! My teammates are awesome! And, as I work a late night shift,
everything’s really laid back. My last hour yesterday, I didn’t take a
single call. My teammates all chatted about near-death experiences.
