Friday Fiasco

Appetizer
What was your first “real” job? Tutoring kids during the summer. I was paid $20-50 a day.
Soup
Where would you go if you wanted to spark your creativity? I’d go to my bedroom and crank up the music (the question is: Do I feel like Andrew Lloyd Weber or Queen? I told you I have a broad taste in music).
Salad
Complete this sentence: I am embarrassed when…I do something that makes me look stupid. Then, I laugh.
Main Course
What values did your parents instill in you? Respect your elders, wash your hands often, boys are DANGEROUS. LOL!
Dessert
Name 3 fads from your teenage years. I wasn’t really into fads when I was a teen. The few times I was interested in one, Imah nipped it in the bud. Now, however, I am into fashion arm warmers (especially fishnet), princess stuff, and my camera phone (those are kind of faddish).
Friday5: So Why Don’t You Slide?
- Where is the nearest playground slide? I can see one from the majestic view of my window.
- What’s something you recently let slide? An inappropriate comment.
- Who recently let slide something you did? Imah (that doesn’t happen often).
- Where is the nearest water slide? Wherever I chose to make it! Hahaha!
- When did you last slide down a pole, a rope, or an embankment? Um, I got my friends to roll down an embankment during my birthday party. That was so fun!
1. The things I give thanks for this Thanksgiving are family and food. What could be better?
2. My Thanksgiving traditions include visiting with the family I rarely see, making the cooks feel their food is superior to any famous chef, watching the family play Pit (from a safe distance–maybe with some headphones on).
3. The best part about Thanksgiving is the food.
4. My favorite Thanksgiving food is: oh dear, I can’t answer that! It’s all so good!!
5. Wearing the gravy was the most embarrassing thing that ever happened to me on Thanksgiving.
6. After the meal, I sprawl in front of the TV. When I’m done eating, I can’t move too much.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to bed, tomorrow my plans include waiting for my special package and Sunday, I want to prepare the welcome-back gift for My Evil Twin!
Well, this has been an interesting week. I think my impatience for a certain gift is taking its toll on me. The beginning of this week, I was cheery, chipper, perky, irrepressible. Yesterday and today, nothing can go right. I couldn’t be more accident prone if I was doing it on purpose! Plus, yesterday, I had several crabby customers. It was probably because it was raining cats and dogs, but geez, don’t take it out on me! I nearly cried but instead ground my teeth together. You’ll not see my tears, you crabs!
Now (having decorated the kitchen with raw egg in my pitiful attempt to make breakfast), I fear today will be very much the same. At least I haven’t fallen down the stairs…a second time.
Shalom and Happy Thanksgiving!
