week of august 5:

pet peeves we all have things that annoy us, so this week vent them! what really annoys you, makes you wanna rip your hair out and scream?! limit 3 please :P name your top 3 pet peeves:

1. Imah’s anal nature–and just that mother’s instinct she has, too. She has a sixth sense for dirtiness. "Where’d that stain come from? Did you have a party while I was gone?" Me: *Drat! I scrubbed that rug until the spot was invisible! Traitorous rug!*

2. Aggressive drivers who tailgate and shine their headlights into my car. (That’s why I usually wear sunglasses at night. My eyes are too sensitive for today’s headlights.)

3. People who blame me for something I have no control over. Look at me, I’m wearing an outfit I’ve had for six years–Do this look like someone who owns the place and sets the prices?!

Unconscious Mutterings, Week 235:

  1. Voices :: in my head
  2. Have to :: make them stop
  3. Machine :: can stop them
  4. Seventh grade :: when the voices began
  5. Beach :: the voices say fish are friends not food
  6. Roommate :: thinks I’m crazy for some reason
  7. Cyclone :: what Wild Bill rides
  8. Theater :: the Pantages (I’ve performed there once or twice!)
  9. Pregnant :: not fun
  10. Phoebe :: bird

LOL! Yeah, I’m in an interesting mood today. Of course, my friends and I love joking about voices–that and our multiple personalities!  emoticon

Yesterday was interesting. Nice and slow, very few interruptions–just the way I like it. That was especially good because we have a load of move-in papers to prepare and process. I mean, wow. Last week we had apartments up the ying-yang; this week, we have a grand total of four–and two of those may have applicants soon.

Anyway, I wanted to mention some highlights from yesterday. Imah called an applicant to exchange some info, and no one answered. She kept saying "hello? hello?" and got this odd look on her face. Seeing me stare at her, she turned the phone on speaker.

KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK.

KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK.

Finally, she hung up. A few minutes later, the guy called back and apologized. He dropped his phone off the roof!

Have I mentioned I have a cold? It’s icky, let me tell you. I got Friday, though I think my body’s been fighting for about a week. Anyway, I was sneezing and hacking and blowing my nose all day at work, and Imah finally teased, "You’re a flight risk!"

I laughed out loud. I found that hilarious. Can’t imagine what my friends would think of that…
