Honoring Friday the 13th
I can’t believe I didn’t get to blog on Friday the 13th! That’s like the coolest day ever! I can’t let this go…
Appetizer
What is your favorite fruit? Apples–either Gala or green.
Soup
Who is someone you consider as a great role model? I don’t really have one. I just admire people I see who are actively doing good.
Salad
If you were to spend one night anywhere within an hour of your home, where would you choose? At my Girlz!
Main Course
Name something you do too often. Make snide/sarcastic remarks. I’m trying to tone it down before I become a habitually sour person.
Dessert
Fill in the blank: I really like dancing because it gets my blood rushing.
1. Eclipse (by Stephenie Meyer) is the book I’m most looking forward to reading this summer
2. Dogs drool (and cats rule!).
3. Forks, Washington is a town I’d like to explore. (Thanks to Stephenie Meyer’s books.)
4. Silly people are entertaining.
5. I’m longing to go to Sol Duc.
6. My mother’s driving is so scary!
7. What are you doing this weekend? Tonight I’m looking forward to vegging out (now that Her Majesty is safely away on her honeymoon, tomorrow my plans include work and (what a surprise) more work. Yippee. (Rats! There I go with the sarcasm again!)
Friday Fun: Friday Superstitions:
1. Are you extra careful on Friday the 13th? Friday the 13th is actually a lucky day for me. For some reason, though, Saturday the 14th, is usually a very bad day. Today went pretty well.
2. Are you at all superstitious? If so, how? I have a thing with black cats. They make me nervous. That, however, is from a past bad experience with a psycho neighbor who kept a bunch of black cats and dogs. Oh, and crows make me nervous, too.
3. Do you ever get bouts of intuition? Are they accurate? I occasionally get a feeling of foreboding–sadly, it usually comes true. (I haven’t gotten anything more than a vague feeling for quite some time, though, but I’m glad.)
4. Do you have any little “things” that you do that some would consider superstitious? I don’t think so. The closest would be, when I’m feeling really cranky/sad/out of it, I mentally attune myself with nature: let the breeze cool my anger, draw strength and endurance from the nearby evergreens, be refreshed by anything around me that’s green. I’ve always had a thing for nature. It’s my best friend. My lover.
Friday5.org: Anyway You Want It:
- What’s a gross food you like anyway? My co-workers love teasing me about my excessive use of tardar sauce.
- Who’s an unlikeable person you like anyway? Dr. House, Miss Parker, my dagger-wielding character, Evelyn. I love the sarcastic, arrogant types in fiction, but I don’t think I would in real life. LOL!
- What’s an unpleasant task you enjoy performing anyway? Cleaning…it’s dirty but watching whatever it is I’m cleaning come clean makes me happy.
- What’s a dumb song you enjoy anyway? Chihuahua. (Thanks a lot, Yoseph. Grr.)
- What’s a lousy restaurant you frequent anyway? The one I work at…*chuckles*
I have to go to bed now. I promise to post about Her Majesty’s wedding!!
