Caffeine, Sugar, & Dance Music

Categories: Friends, Dance

Good times. Despite how drugged I felt this morning, I thought of last night and it made me smile giddily. (Let me say: it is not usual for me to smile in the morning–especially after a late night of partying. I’m a major crab in the mornings. Just ask Imah.)

So, Her Majesty is now legally able to drink and pack heat (notice I stuck the word "legally" in there. LOL!). I’d say I was jealous, but I already drink (God bless Jewish holy days) and Her Majesty is more of a katana person than a shooter (unless she’s actually going to get that sniper rifle her alter ego uses). emoticon

Anyway, about her party. Sadly, C4 couldn’t make it (so this is largely for you, my Highly Explosive One). We were, however, graced with the sanguine presence of Death. emoticon I was so glad to see her; it’s been forever (we’re great allies–yes, be afraid). Her Majesty’s brother, the Count (psychotic as ever–don’t believe a word he says about me) and his girlfriend (I approve of your choice, Count) were there–since it was at the royal home–as was the ever energetic swing-dancer I shall fondly/fiendishly title Yoshi (hey, he put the idea in the head–oh! The images! Take them away!) Last, but most certainly not least, Her Majesty’s bouncy fiancee, Tigger.

Naturally, with a group of enthusiastic crazies such as ourselves (fed by caffeine, sugar, dance music and mutual instigation) we, uh, had a great time!!! emoticon The Count goaded me with the scissors (it’s an old joke–he still defies my rights as Keeper of the Scissors), and I ended wrestling with Yoshi over another pair (don’t ask me how I get into these situations). He dragged me all over the front lawn and slit my hand open! Still, I’ve have my hands cut so many times, I’m used to it (it’s part of the hazard of being the Keeper); I simply licked/sucked the blood off until it stopped bleeding. (I don’t normally do stuff like that, but I knew it would creep them out–and I thought the Count would find it entertaining, being as fascinated with blood as he is…) Oh, the white shirt I wearing…it’s fine. LOL! There’s like a microscopic touch of green on the back. Totally unnoticeable to the general population.

While doing the Riverdance, I was gratified to find I can still nearly kick myself in the face (I was worried because I’ve been slacking off on my exercises and stretches). Somebody (I shall place the blame on Tigger) had the audacity to do partner dance (not so bad)…and drag me into it!! (That is unacceptable!) Actually, it wasn’t so bad. It’s just that it was one of those where your partner keeps changing…Count was squeamish when his partner became his sister…He was horrified when I became his next. Poor guy; I almost feel sorry for him…almost. *snickers*

Later, we played DDR (I sucked at first, but I believe I was getting better…), Clue, and some random acting games (that was frightening–I colossally suck at improvising). I watched in awe as Her Majesty, Tigger, and Yoshi "fought" each other with various swords and daggers (Count joined in with a wooden stick…that didn’t last long).

Oh, and they played Halo 2. It funny whenever Yoshi killed or was killed–his character was named "Your Mom". So, Yoshi would kill someone, and the screen would say "You were killed by Your Mom." It was hilarious! Her Majesty’s mom walked in when I read the words out loud…man, I wish I had a camera for that look!

So, yeah, there’s no way my b-day party will be that great, but I don’t care. That was a blast! (And I didn’t even throw up from all the sugar–combined with dancing and laughing–that I had, though I was fairly sure I would at one point!)

Happy 21, Your Majesty! Hopefully, I’ll see you on Saturday…maybe?
