Unconscious Mutterings 143:
Appetizer
Tell about a time when you had to be brave. When I was in junior high, there was an earthquake We all went under the tables and were told to remain calm. It was a surreal time for me because I didn"t feel frightened a bit. I felt totally shielded–like I was under angel"s wings. It was really cool–and surreal.
Soup
Which upcoming movie are you excited about seeing? I have vowed to see Spiderman 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean 3.
Salad
Name an item you try to always have on hand. My novel (or at least paper and pencil)–LOL!
Main Course
Imagine the most relaxing room you can think of. Now describe it! Huge bubble bath with classical music system. Probably in gentle gold hues.
Dessert
On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being highest), how spiritual or religious are you? That’s tough. For one thing, I’m a naturally private person and for another, I’ve gone through some experiences that have made me revulsed to displaying religious behavior. Also, as a result of certain experiences, I’ve become more spiritual than religious. I’m totally into spiritual stuff; I’m fascinated by it. But to get to my answer, I think I’ll put myself at 6 or 7 (I can’t decide!).
Friday Fun: Fantabulous Friday
1. What is the most fantabulous thing that has happened this week? My new job (that will eventually get me out of my current one!)!!
2. When you are feeling kinda down, what do you to make yourself feel fantabulous? I’ll write, crank up my favorite music, or take a bath.
3. If you could change one thing about your life that would make you feel more fantabulous, what would it be? I don’t know. I’m a creature of habit; I’d rather just keep my life the way it is. Unless…my mother and I could get along better, I marry a rich guy, I spend all the time I want writing. Other than that, keep it the same.
Friday Fill-in #20:
1. It’s Friday! Woohoo!
2. Only 13 more days til doomsday. Muahahaha!
3. It was a slow, sleepy day yesterday! [ed. note: that was for Monique!]
4. I love my friends (and my wubby!).
5. Blood is something that doesn’t matter, unless you are a vampire. (Yeah, I’m showing how warped my mind is.)
6. Mothers: Don’t mess with ‘em.
7. I’d like to do dancing and partying this weekend.
Friday Fiver:
1. What do you obsess about? Other than myself (lol–at least I’m honest about it, right?), my novel.
2. What do you do for a living? Serve the public–you ungrateful microwave generation!
3. Where do you call home? Planet Saturn–how I long for home…
4. Have you lived up to your parents’ expectations? Ha! No. And I never will.
5. Are we more likely to find you in a coffee bar or a nightclub? Did someone say COFFEE?!
So, I’m facing my last free weekend, feeling the pressure to make everything go perfectly. Of course, this means having everything go exactly the way I want. The funny thing is that I wouldn’t be happy if everything was perfect. I’ll just have to be content with the blessing of being with my friends one more time. Hey, I’m sure I’ll get to see them again before I move.
Well, I’m off to take my bath and get ready for the weekend!
Until I blog again…
Farewell and Shabbat Shalom!
