Sleep the Weekend Away
Oh joy. I got to open the store at work today. And I’ll get to do it three times next week. As I said…oh joy.
Friday’s Feast 133:
Appetizer
What does the color pink make you think of? Princesses and candy.
Soup
Name something you thought you had lost, but later found. Twice, I lost one of my favorite rings. The first time, I found it in a gravel driveway. The second, I found it in a shopping center parking lot. Both times I actually came back to the spot to find it.
Salad
In 3 words, describe this past week.
Crummy, boring, crabby.
Main Course
What are you obsessed with? My writing, definitely. I’m pretty obsessed with singing, too.
Dessert
What kind of perfume or cologne do you like to wear? Something fruity and fun–not too potent.
Five on Friday: Cake Walk
1. At your next birthday celebration you can have any flavor, shape, size, and style of cake you want. What do you choose? (bonus: post a photo or link to a photo of your ideal birthday cake). I would sooo get the same one I got my last birthday: a vanilla ice cream cake with cookie crumb crust and a picture of a tiger.
2. For friends and loved ones: do you buy a birthday cake or bake one for them? I buy it (it turns out better).
3. Do you prefer sumptuous flavor or incredible decorations? I love incredible decorations–it kills me having to eat something so pretty. On the other hand, I once had a cake with frosting puppies. It would have been a lot more fun freaking out my friends by biting off the puppies heads if the puppies had actually tasted good. Egh!
4. What interesting cake, frosting, and filling combination would you most love to try? Vanilla ice cream cake, white frosting, vanilla pudding filling.
5. Tell us about a school subject or hobby that is a "cake walk" for you. I’m not sure. Anything that was too easy I’d lose interest in.
FOUR FOR FRIDAY
Q1 - Your Paycheck: If you could receive your entire paycheck in the form of a gift card, which retail store or restaurant’s gift card would you choose? Oo…Amazon!
Q2 - 911 Tapes : We have all heard them on the radio or television: 911 recordings between emergency dispatch and citizens in harm’s way. Do you think 911 recordings should be made available to the public? Yes; people should have the choice to listen to it.
Q3 – What Would it Take: How much money would it take for you to eat nothing but McDonald’s, Burger King, or Wendy’s for 30 consecutive days? Ew…a lot.
Q4 - Scandal: Yesterday, federal officials in the U.S. broke up one of the largest Wall Street insider trading rings since the 1980s. Thirteen people, including executives and brokers at Morgan Stanley, UBS Securities, Bear Stearns, and Bank of America Securities, have been indicted for schemes that netted high worth individuals millions of dollars. Earlier in the week, an allegedly illicit steroid distribution network, which authorities are saying is responsible for Internet sales of performance-enhancing drugs nationwide, was broken up by the Albany County (NY) District Attorney’s office. Customers reportedly included Los Angeles Angels baseball player Gary Matthews Jr., numerous high school and collage athletes, a former Mr. Universe bodybuilding champion, and former heavyweight-boxing champion Evander Holyfield. Which concerns you more: Insider trading on Wall Street or the illegal use of performance enhancing drugs by amateur and professional athletes alike? The former…it affects financial situtations.
Okie. I go rest now. Farewell.
